Sculpt Body Clinic’s HIFU skin tightening system is designed for anti-aging, face lifting, body contouring, and sculpting without the need for surgery and downtime. Our skin tightening system applies High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound energy to locally heat a precise area of tissue.
The HIFU penetrates through the surface of the skin to deliver the precise and fractional focused ultrasound energy at the right depths of 3.0mm for connective tissue and 4.5mm for the SMAS layer, and at the right temperature of (60°~70°C), without damaging or disrupting the epidermis. The HIFU targets the connective tissue stimulating collagen synthesis, via a wound healing response, firming and improving skin texture, and reducing wrinkles and fine lines.
This treatment also specifically targets the SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) layer. This deeper layer is responsible for muscular activity in the face and by stimulating the SMAS layer, there is both a wound contraction in the muscle and new collagen synthesis, which over the next 4 to 6 weeks naturally uplifts and firms the skin.
This process of new collagen regeneration continues as the extracellular (collagen) matrix is gradually but continually re-formed and remodeled; this effect can be seen firming and lifting the skin over the next 6 to 12 months after the treatment.
